How to care for natural silk?

The five golden rules of silk:

* Hand wash in cool water – Maximum temperature 30°C. Use a mild detergent, preferably one designed for silk.
Ironing? Yes, but do it with care – Iron on the reverse side, at a low temperature, preferably through a thin cloth (e.g. a cotton tea towel). Never iron whilst wet!
Dry cleaning is also an option – Especially for larger or more luxurious scarves – leave them to the professionals.
